About
What permissions are required by the app?
Email is required for direct support, feedback and friendly communication. Basic friends information is used for notes sharing and unique social expirience.
How to log out?
Choose the Settings option from the menu on the top and click on the Log out option in a window that will appear.
How to delete my account?
If you do not want to have The Mathist account anymore, choose Settings option from the menu on the top and in a pop-up window, choose delete account.

How to create a new note?
When in the Notes section, click on the New Note button, and the note editor will open.
If you are already using the editor, choose the Home option from the menu on the top and you will be redirected to the Notes section, where you should just click on the New Note button. The note you were working on previously will be automatically saved.
How to delete a note?
When in note editor, and want to delete the note you are working on, press the icon placed at the bottom left corner of your note and it will delete it after your confirmation and the Notes section will be opened.
If you are in the Feed section or you have just entered the app, choose the Notes option from the menu on the top and press the icon under the note’s title to delete the note.
How to save a note?
The notes are automatically saved every few seconds so there’s no need for you to manually save them or worry if they will be lost if you don’t save them and accidentally leave the app or lose the internet connection.

How to start writing in a note?
Once you open a new note, enter a title or go straight to writing text. Choose Text button for writing text, F(x) button to insert a formula or Drawings button to insert a drawing field. These buttons are placed in the bottom right corner of the note. For writing text, use the keyboard from your device and for formulas, use our keyboard from the screen. For drawings, use the pencil or a rubber offered below the drawing field.
Where to find more formulas?
For writing integrals, summations, multiplications etc, start typing the name of what you need inside your formula and then press one of the formulas from the drop down menu that will appear.
How to use the Wolfram Alpha feature?
Wolfram Alpha feature enables you to solve the equations, find approximate values of expressions, plot graphs etc.
In the editor, select the whole formula or just a part of it using Select option right beneath the formula. Press the light bulb and then choose the forms of solution you want to include into your note from the pop-up dialog.
How to delete a formula or some of its content?
If you want to delete only a part of the formula, use backspace button from the on-screen keyboard. You can also select the part of the formula or the whole formula and then delete it using our backspace. If you are using the keyboard from your device, use the common backspace.
If you want to delete the whole formula, press the icon in the top right corner of the formula.

What comes up here?
Your notifications appear here. You can receive two types of notifications: when your friend creates The Mathist account and when there’s an important update we want to inform you about.

How to change the font size?
Click on the Settings option from the menu on the top and choose between three offered font sizes. It will apply both to the font size in the note and to the font size on other pages.

The Mathist is a touch optimized web app for writing mathematical notes. It can be used on any device. It currently supports using Wolfram Alpha to solve problems and sharing notes between both The Mathist users and non-users with a lot of additional options to be added soon.
